What is Braun ThermoScan 3 Ear Thermometer IRT3030?
The Braun ThermoScan 3 is a compact infrared ear thermometer for taking temperatures at home, for the whole family from newborns to adults.
How does it help?
Place the tip gently in the ear and the reading appears in about a second. An audio fever indicator helps you read the result: one beep for normal, two for elevated and four for a high temperature. The memory shows the last reading, and it switches itself off after 60 seconds. Readings are shown in degrees Celsius.

Who should take care?
Follow the instructions in the box. A thermometer measures temperature - it does not diagnose. NHS advice: contact your GP or call 111 if a baby under 3 months has a temperature of 38C or higher, or a baby aged 3 to 6 months has a temperature of 39C or higher, or if you are worried about anyone with a high temperature. Call 999 for a child who is floppy, hard to wake, has a rash that does not fade when pressed with a glass, or is struggling to breathe.
