What is Allevia Hives 180mg Tablets 15?
Allevia Hives 180mg tablets are a pharmacy medicine for the relief of the symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria - long-term hives with no known cause - in adults and children aged 12 and over.
How does it help?
Fexofenadine is an antihistamine: it blocks histamine, the chemical behind the itching, redness and raised weals of hives. Take one tablet a day before a meal. It is unlikely to make you drowsy, but check how it affects you before driving.

Who should take care?
Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Not for children under 12. Do not take it if you are allergic to fexofenadine or any ingredient. If you are elderly, or have kidney or liver problems, take it only on a doctor's advice, and if you have or have had heart disease, take it only on a doctor's advice. Do not take it in pregnancy unless a doctor advises; it is not recommended while breastfeeding. Call 999 if hives come with swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing.
