What is Vivesse Vaginal Cream 7 x 5ml?

Vivesse is a vaginal cream supplied as seven single 5ml tubes with an applicator. It is a medical device, not a medicine. It is designed to help restore the normal acidity of the vagina and ease the redness, itching and discharge that often come with vaginal infections. It can be used alongside antifungal treatment, or as a barrier cream to help prevent infections that keep coming back.

How does it help?

A healthy vagina is slightly acidic, which helps the naturally occurring lactobacilli thrive and stops organisms such as Candida (the cause of thrush) and Gardnerella (linked with bacterial vaginosis) from overgrowing. Vivesse contains lactic acid to help bring the pH back to its normal range, and forms a protective barrier over the vaginal lining so the natural balance can recover. It does not kill bacteria or fungi itself. Use one application a day at bedtime, lying on your back with your knees drawn up, until the symptoms have gone.
