Common questions

Will a CBD skin cream make me feel high?

No. This is a cream you rub into the skin rather than something you swallow or inhale, and CBD itself isn’t intoxicating. Vitality state that their products contain 0% THC — THC being the cannabis compound responsible for a “high”. The 100 ml bottle we stock carries 300 mg of CBD in total.

Can it treat eczema, psoriasis or joint pain?

No — and we can’t sell it as though it can. In the UK a CBD cream like this is regulated as a cosmetic, not a licensed medicine, so it’s sold to moisturise and soothe skin rather than to treat a condition. If you’re dealing with a persistent skin or pain problem, speak to our pharmacist or your GP about treatments that are licensed for it.

Is it suitable if I have a nut allergy?

Take care. The cream is made with sweet almond oil, so it isn’t suitable if you’re allergic to almonds or tree nuts. It also contains beeswax and a green tea and lemon fragrance, so it isn’t vegan and it isn’t a fragrance-free product. Read the ingredient list on the pack, and ask our pharmacist if you’re unsure.

How is this different from an ordinary moisturiser?

Mainly the extras. Alongside its moisturising base this cream carries CBD, ginseng and chamomile, and it’s scented.
