What is Brolene Eye Drops 10ml?

A small bottle of sterile eye drops containing propamidine isetionate, an antiseptic used for minor infections of the eye and eyelid, such as conjunctivitis and blepharitis. It is a pharmacy medicine, so it is kept behind the counter and handed over after a short check with our team.

How does it help?

Propamidine isetionate is an antiseptic rather than an antibiotic. Dropped into the eye, it acts on the surface of the eye and eyelid to reduce the bacteria involved in a minor infection, giving the eye a chance to settle. It works where it is applied and is not absorbed into the body in any meaningful amount.

Who should take care?

Do not use it if you have ever reacted to propamidine isetionate. Contact lenses should not usually be worn during treatment.
